Kookie Kennels is run by dog lovers for dog lovers.
We are a friendly, family run business providing premium dog boarding kennels.
Our kennels are situated in 11 acres of privately owned pasture land in the beautiful, peaceful countryside yet within minutes of main transport links and only 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport.
We are licensed by Renfrewshire Council and are fully insured.

Due to the recent impact of the Covid-19 pandemic we now operate an appointment system for drop off and pick up of our boarders.

We are very proud of our kennels and would be delighted to show you around. As our boarders are our main concern we like to keep them in a routine and as undisturbed as possible. We therefore respectfully request that you please call in advance to arrange a mutually suitable time for your visit. Thank you.
OUR KENNELS
Kookie Kennels, opened at the end of 2019, is a modern, purpose built establishment. Each of our kennels comprises a cosy bed area and a spacious individual, inside run.
We provide vet bedding and raised beds as required. If you wish to bring your own bedding please discuss this with us at the time of booking.
The safety and security of all dogs in our care is of premium importance and because of this we do not introduce our boarders to each other or allow communal play/mixing.
All dogs are exercised individually in our safe and secure outdoor paddock.
HEALTH AND WELL-BEING
VACCINATIONS AND HEALTH
The health and well-being of all our boarders is of upmost importance to us.
We require that all dogs are up to date with their vaccinations (Canine distemper, Infectious canine hepatitis, Canine parvovirus, Leptospirosis and Kennel cough).
Up to date worming and flea/tick treatment is also highly recommended prior to boarding your dog.
KOOKIE KENNELS CANNOT ACCEPT ANY DOG FOR BOARDING UNLESS PROOF OF VACCINATION IS PROVIDED
PLEASE NOTE WE CANNOT ACCEPT FRESHLY VACCINATED DOGS IN THE MONTH (4 WEEKS) PRIOR TO BOARDING
Minor health conditions and medications can be catered for and administered at Kookie Kennels. Please discuss this with us at the time of booking.
FEEDING
We aim to keep all our boarders on their usual diets. As a dog's digestive system can be sensitive to sudden change resulting in an upset tummy, we request that owners bring enough food to last for the duration of their pet's stay.
All food and water bowls are provided.

Kookie Kennels is located between the villages of Lochwinnoch and Kilbirnie, conveniently placed near the boundary between Renfrewshire and North Ayrshire. We are just off the main A760 road linking Largs to Glasgow.
As we are a new building, our postcode may not yet be linked in to SatNav databases or Google maps so please call for directions if required.
